Did you all have a wonderful Christmas? We sure did here at Ashfield! Let me tell you all about it…
Our residents had a super time at their Christmas party joined by staff, friends and family. Plenty to see, do and eat! We had a special visit from Santa, a Christmas tombola, Christmas raffle and a festive sing song lead by a local performer.
Wetherby Christmas Market:
A few of our residents wrapped up warm and headed out to the Wetherby Christmas market just in time to catch Father Christmas. We had a lovely time seeing all the festive stalls and gifts on display. After a wonder round we grabbed some front row seats to watch the brass band play our favourite Christmas Songs. To finish off the day we filled our bellies with mince pies and hot drinks in the town hall ready for the journey home.
Our special guest for the Christmas show this year was singer- Holy Gray. She gave a splendid performance enjoyed by all. Followed by festive grub and mini games.
Wetherby High School:
Wetherby High School’s pupils kindly invited our residents for a Christmas dinner and some entertainment which we were very grateful for and had a wonderful afternoon once again!
Despite our home being staffed 24/7 we managed to celebrate Christmas with a murder mystery night hosted by the Bridge Inn, Walshford. We enjoyed more festive food and entertainment throughout the evening, thank you for having us!
Side note: I can’t believe this is the only photo we got all evening.
Inbetween all the partying we’ve kept ourselves busy with a few festive activities:
Pimp my frame
Snowball basket ball
From Ashfield, a huge thank you to:
All of our amazing staff for working continuously throughout the holidays, nothing would be possible without you.
All the volunteers/friends/family who joined in the fun and helped out.
Our gift donators; Sykes house farm, Saks, West Row, Bonbons and Blu.
