Care Roadshow | Leeds 2026

Ashfield Attends the Care Roadshow in Leeds

On 3 November, two of Ashfield Nursing Home’s directors and our Registered Manager attended the Care Roadshow in Leeds.

The event brought together people and organisations from across the care sector, providing opportunities to exchange ideas, learn from specialist speakers and explore topics that affect the delivery of high-quality care.

Meeting Vendors and Exploring New Ideas

Throughout the event, our representatives spoke with a range of vendors. These conversations provided an opportunity to learn more about the products, services and ideas being presented to care providers.

Engaging with others from across the sector helps us remain informed about new developments and consider how different approaches may support residents, employees and the continued development of our home.

Learning from Sector Specialists

Our representatives also attended four seminars covering important areas of care provision, leadership and workforce development.

  • Building a Resilient Care Business: Foundations for Long-Term Success

    • This seminar explored the foundations needed to develop a strong and sustainable care service that is prepared for future challenges.

  • Delivering Outstanding Dementia Care: Everyday Approaches to Wellbeing and Personalisation

    • The session focused on practical, everyday approaches to supporting wellbeing and delivering care that recognises each person’s individual needs, preferences and experiences.

  • Building a Workforce That Stays: Proven Strategies for Recruitment and Retention

    • A consistent and supported team is an important part of providing continuity of care. This seminar considered approaches to recruiting employees, supporting them in their roles and encouraging long-term retention.

  • CQC Priorities and Expectations: What Providers Need to Know

    • The final seminar provided an overview of the Care Quality Commission’s priorities and expectations, helping providers remain informed about the current regulatory landscape.

Supporting Continuous Development at Ashfield

The Care Roadshow was a valuable opportunity for our leadership team to hear different perspectives, speak with sector suppliers and reflect on some of the key issues facing adult social care.

We are committed to continuing to learn and develop as an organisation. Attending events like this helps our leadership team stay connected with the wider care sector and bring useful ideas and discussions back to Ashfield Nursing Home.
