Our catering and dining experience is an important part of daily life within our home, bringing comfort, familiarity, and enjoyment to each resident.

Our menus feature a wide variety of freshly prepared, home-cooked dishes, thoughtfully created using high-quality ingredients and inspired by the changing seasons. Meals can be enjoyed in whichever setting residents prefer, whether in the dining area for a more social experience or in the comfort and privacy of their own room.

Breakfast

The day begins with a balanced and nourishing breakfast, offering a selection of cereals, preserves, and fresh fruit. Residents can also enjoy a range of hot and cold beverages, including tea, coffee, and fresh fruit juices, providing a gentle and enjoyable start to the morning.

Tea

Later in the day, residents can enjoy a relaxed tea service featuring a varied buffet of freshly made sandwiches, warm pastries, homemade cakes, soups, and desserts. A hot option is always available, such as filled jacket potatoes or toasted crumpets, ensuring something satisfying is on offer for everyone.

We believe that choice is essential, so residents are offered multiple options at every mealtime, ensuring individual tastes and dietary requirements are always catered for. In addition to our main meals, our team regularly visits residents throughout the day with tea, coffee, and light refreshments, creating opportunities for both relaxation and friendly conversation.

Lunch

Lunch is a highlight of the day, with residents invited to choose between two carefully prepared hot meals, each designed to reflect seasonal ingredients and traditional favourites. This is followed by a tempting selection of desserts and puddings, offering both classic comforts and lighter options to suit all preferences.

Our approach to dining goes beyond simply providing meals. It is about creating enjoyable moments, supporting wellbeing, and maintaining the familiar pleasures of good food shared in a welcoming and supportive environment.

🐶 Pet Friendly

We recognise the comfort and joy that animals can bring, which is why we warmly welcome visits from much-loved pets. Time spent with familiar companions can be incredibly uplifting for residents, offering both emotional comfort and a sense of home. From time to time, members of our team also bring their own friendly, well-behaved pets into the home, adding a little extra warmth and enjoyment to the day.

🚌 Public Transport

Our home benefits from a convenient location with excellent access to public transport. A bus stop is situated just a short distance away, providing easy connections to Wetherby bus station. From there, regular services run to nearby towns and cities, including Leeds, Harrogate, and York, making it straightforward for family and friends to visit.

🦽 Wheel Chair Access

We are fully committed to accessibility throughout the home. Both our main entrance and side entrance are designed to accommodate wheelchair users comfortably, ensuring easy and safe access at all times. The main entrance is also suitable for stretcher access when required, supporting smooth and efficient care provision.

🛋️ Furniture provided

All rooms are thoughtfully furnished to provide comfort and practicality, creating a welcoming and homely environment from the outset. Residents are also encouraged to personalise their space with their own furniture, belongings, and familiar items, helping them feel truly settled and at ease.

📺 satellite TV & Wifi

Each room is equipped with access to satellite television and strong Wi-Fi connectivity, allowing residents to enjoy their favourite programmes, stream content, or stay in touch with loved ones through video calls. This helps residents remain connected, entertained, and engaged with the world around them.

🚡 Lift & Stair Lifts

To support ease of movement throughout the home, we have a lift providing access between floors, including the second-floor bedrooms. In addition, all staircases are fitted with stair lifts, ensuring that residents can move around the building safely and comfortably.

🚬 Smoking Shelter

For residents who wish to smoke or vape, we provide a designated sheltered area within the rear garden. This ensures a safe, comfortable, and respectful space while maintaining a pleasant environment throughout the home.

🧼 Washing facilities

Every bedroom is equipped with at least a wash basin for convenience and independence. In addition, some rooms benefit from fully private en-suite facilities, offering an added level of comfort and privacy.

☕️ Kitchenette

We understand how important visits from family and friends are, and we aim to make these as comfortable as possible. Visitors are welcome to use our kitchenette, which is stocked with essential items such as cups, glasses, and cutlery, along with facilities for making hot drinks and warming food.
