Help with maintenance jobs around the home:
E.g., fixing/repairing, painting/decorating, gardening etc.
Requirements
Good english.
Familiar use of relevant tools and machinery.
Good knowledge of hard/soft landscaping practices.
Problem solving skills.
Communications skills.
Previous experience in a similar role.

Your Duties
-
Understand the physiological, psychological, and sociological needs of our residents.
Plan and deliver sessions to groups and individuals that meet the needs above discreetly (e.g., assisting one of our residents with one of their sporting hobbies to encourage exercise).
Sessions should be planned ahead for the quarter and relevant to the season and compliment any events.
Plan and host seasonal events for our residents, employees, and the local community. Per year;
4x Parities = Residents + staff on/off duty + Friends and relatives + wider community – are welcome. Including; themed decorations, food van/buffet and entertainment provided.
4x Special days = Residents + staff on duty + Friends and relatives – are welcome. Including; themed decorations and entertainment provided.

Birthdays = Card signed by staff + balloons/flowers + cake + invite friends/relatives for lunch/tea.

Assist with the induction of new starters in accordance with Ashfield Nursing Home’s policy.
Be polite and respectful in communication with staff, residents, or external visitors.
Develop effective working relationships with other employees within the service.
Work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for people in the service.

Promote the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of residents at all times. This includes maintaining an environment free from abuse, neglect, or harm.
Remain vigilant to any signs or indicators of abuse—whether physical, emotional, financial, sexual, or neglect.

Attend all statutory training, meetings and any others as directed by a manager.
