International Day of Older People
Celebrating the individuality, experiences and contributions of older people.
International Day of Older Persons is a chance to celebrate the experiences, achievements and perspectives that older people bring to their families and communities.
When someone moves into a care home, their identity does not change. Their life story, interests, preferences and relationships remain an essential part of who they are. At Ashfield Nursing Home, we take time to understand these individual details and reflect them in the support residents receive.
Our personalised care plans are designed to promote residents’ independence, privacy, dignity and rights. Alongside practical and nursing support where needed, we aim to create a relaxed, homely environment where people can continue to enjoy the routines, activities and connections that matter to them.
Today, we are proud to recognise the residents who make Ashfield such a special place, and the many older people whose experiences continue to enrich our local community.
