World Mental Health Day

Supporting wellbeing through kindness, connection and meaningful everyday moments.

World Mental Health Day is an important opportunity to recognise that wellbeing is about more than physical health. Feeling connected, listened to and involved can have a meaningful impact on everyday life, particularly when a person’s circumstances or routines change.

At Ashfield Nursing Home, we support residents as individuals, taking time to understand their preferences, interests and the things that bring comfort and enjoyment. Our activities team helps meet residents’ physical, social and psychological needs through thoughtful sessions, shared experiences and seasonal events.

Whether it is joining an activity, enjoying time with family and friends, having a conversation with a member of the team or taking part in the life of the home, these moments can help residents feel part of a supportive community.

We are committed to creating a relaxed, welcoming home where residents feel respected, included and able to enjoy daily life in ways that are meaningful to them.
